Volunteer with Us

Credit unions are not-for-profit cooperatives, owned by their members who save and borrow there. Serving on the Great Meadow Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, or a sub-committee is a rewarding way to influence the Credit Union’s future. Help shape policies to drive our mission forward.

To be a credit union volunteer requires a desire to serve, a commitment of time, a willingness to learn, integrity, and the discipline to carry out specific duties. Expectations for a Credit Union volunteer include:

  • Belief in and desire to nurture the credit union philosophy of โ€œpeople helping people.โ€
  • Readiness to attend and participate in meetings on a monthly or quarterly basis depending on your role.
  • Understanding of and/or willingness to learn about the Credit Unionโ€™s operations and movement.
  • Desire to be a team player to achieve the Credit Unionโ€™s success.
  • Act, at all times, in the best interest of the members and the Credit Union.
