The Branch Officer is a leader of the branch team. Develops and manages branch portfolio of deposit and loan accounts and is responsible for the growth of both. Responsible for the overall performance of the branch team. May lead more than one branch team. Promotes GMFCU through active leadership in the community. Creates a positive, fun environment making each employee's experience memorable. Supports Great Meadow’s distinctive culture.

Job Specific Responsibilities

- Coordinate with employees to ensure products and services are delivered according to Credit Union Expectations 
- Grow Credit Union business with both deposits and consumer loans. Loans include auto loans, personal secured, personal unsecured, Home Equity and Mortgage products
- Serve as escalation manager for Member problems and resolution including assisting employees with difficult Member inquiries and complaints
- Take accountability for creating a positive environment
- Supervise all branch team members 
- Oversee scheduling needs and branch staffing
- Foster effective communication among all employees and branch teams to positively impact Credit Union results 
- Conduct Employee coaching sessions, performance evaluations development plans and corrective action plans Provide leadership and mentoring to all branch team members
- Establish and solidify member relationships through exceptional member service 
- Cultivate an understanding of all Credit Union products and services
- Maintain working knowledge of all Credit Union products and services to proactively sell as needed. Open deposit accounts, take loan applications, credit card applications and help MSR, FSO and Loan Officers with escalation issues
- Work hand in hand with Loan Officers and Consumer Lending Manager on Branch issues or member situations 
- Utilize sound judgment when making decisions that will impact branch and Credit Union financial results 
- Participate in sales strategy meetings with Credit Union Leadership 
- Conduct outbound sales calls and manage branch pipeline activities
- Oversee management of controllable expenses, supplies, and facility needs 
- Ensure the integrity of the Monthly Branch Audit program
- Be knowledgeable of compliance updates and changes and communicate to branch teams 
- Act as a GMFCU community ambassador
- Maintain knowledge of current financial industry trends, practices, and regulations
- Other duties as needed 

This position is for our new Fort Edward office, it will also supervise our Queensbury Office.
